MAXURETHANE BIO HYGIENE

MAXURETHANE BIO-HYGIENE is a two-component, solvent-free polyurethane binder designed for hygienic, virucidal and antibacterial flooring systems on concrete and industrial pavements, delivering seamless, easy-to-clean protection with high abrasion and chemical resistance.

Formulated with advanced additives, MAXURETHANE BIO-HYGIENE inhibits surface growth of viruses and bacteria, providing a clean, continuous, anti-dust finish. The system admits smooth, anti-slip broadcast and polyurethane–sand mortar builds, allowing tailored thicknesses, textures and colours. Environmentally friendly and non-flammable, MAXURETHANE BIO-HYGIENE is suitable for poorly ventilated spaces and heavy traffic conditions in demanding industrial environments.

Applications

  • Hospitals, healthcare facilities, emergency rooms and pharmaceutical areas requiring highly hygienic floors.
  • Food processing plants, canneries, slaughterhouses, breweries, wineries, kitchens and wholesale distribution zones.
  • High-traffic supermarkets, shopping centres, restaurants, waiting areas and clean environments.
  • Anti-slip finishes in permanently wet areas, stairs, ramps, loading docks and cold rooms.
  • Chemical and abrasion-resistant coatings for industrial floors exposed to forklifts and heavy traffic.

Advantages

  • Virucidal and antibacterial activity per standardized testing, ensuring hygienic, virus-free and bacteria-free surfaces.
  • Continuous, seamless, uniform surface with anti-dust finish for easy cleaning and maintenance.
  • Excellent resistance to abrasion and wear under car and heavy wheel traffic.
  • Very good chemical resistance to oils, greases, fuels, acids, alkalis, solvents and salts.
  • Wide range of finishes, thicknesses and colours to meet aesthetic and performance requirements.
  • Solvent-free, non-flammable and suitable for poorly ventilated areas.

Mode of application

Prepare substrate clean and dry; mix B into A at low speed until homogeneous; prime; apply MAXURETHANE BIO-HYGIENE by brush, roller or spray; broadcast silica for anti-slip; for mortars add DRIZORO SILICA; respect drying intervals.

Consumption

Smooth coats: 0.25–0.30 kg/m² per coat, total 0.5–0.6. Broadcasting: 0.5–0.6 kg/m² per coat; silica 1.0–1.5 kg/m². Mortars follow stated binder–sand ratios.

Presentation

Predosed 25 kg set: component A 20 kg drum and component B 5 kg can. Colours grey, red, green and white; colours available on request.

Precautions and safety

Use protective gloves, goggles and suitable clothing. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Ensure ventilation, prevent moisture during curing, and clean tools with solvent.
