MAXRITE -R THIX

MAXRITE -R THIX is a one-component, polymer-modified, fibre-reinforced, shrinkage-compensated mortar designed for structural concrete repairs at high thickness.

Its high thixotropy, superior to conventional mortars, allows for formwork-free applications, facilitating repairs up to 100 mm thickness on vertical surfaces and up to 40 mm on overhead surfaces. MAXRITE -R THIX exhibits excellent adhesion to concrete and steel, effectively resisting freeze-thaw cycles, mechanical impacts, and aggressive environments. Being one-component, it only requires water for preparation, simplifying its application and handling.

Applications

  • Structural repairs on bridges, ports, desalination plants, and industrial areas affected by reinforcement corrosion.
  • Maintenance of facilities exposed to aggressive environments, atmospheric pollution, and acid rain.
  • Repair of prefabricated concrete elements and structures subject to cyclic loads.

Advantages

  • High thixotropy and easy workability allowing thick repairs without sagging.
  • Excellent adhesion without requiring primer, ensuring durability and structural resistance.
  • Resistant to carbonation, freeze-thaw cycles, and has low water absorption.

Application Instructions

Mechanically mix one 25 kg bag with 4.5 to 5 litres of water until obtaining a homogeneous paste. Apply using a trowel on a previously moistened surface.

Consumption

Approximate consumption: 2.05 kg/m² per mm thickness. One 25 kg bag fills approximately 14.6 litres.

Packaging

MAXRITE -R THIX is supplied in 25 kg bags, grey colour, in original sealed packaging.

Precautions and Safety

Use gloves, safety goggles, and protective clothing. Avoid skin and eye contact, rinsing immediately with water if necessary.
