MAXPATCH POOL

MAXPATCH POOL is a one-component decorative cement mortar with coloured quartz aggregates for finishing and enhancing swimming-pools, fountains, artificial lakes and concrete floors, delivering a monolithic, natural exposed-quartz terrazzo appearance with excellent adhesion, abrasion resistance, UV stability and long-term colour durability.

Formulated with cements, pure silica and selected quartz plus special additives, MAXPATCH POOL creates a seamless, joint-free mineral surface that avoids ceramic tiles or resin coatings. Breathable to water vapour, compatible with MAXSEAL FLEX and MAXSEAL SUPER, and easy to trowel or spray, it requires only water for mixing.

Applications

• Decorative lining of swimming-pools, fountains, waterfalls, artificial lakes and other water-retaining structures.
• Refurbishment of old pools with ceramic tiles when a natural exposed-quartz look is desired.
• Decorative pavements: pool decks, solarium areas and interior/exterior concrete floors with cementitious terrazzo finish.

Advantages

• Total UV resistance with long-term colour stability and no yellowing.
• High durability in seacoast environments; resistant to chlorides and marine water.
• Excellent adhesion; no primer or bonding agent required. Seamless, low-maintenance finish with very good wear resistance.

How to use

Saturate the sound, clean substrate with water, removing standing water. Mix MAXPATCH POOL mechanically with clean water until homogeneous. Apply by trowel or spray in an even layer, then finish with float. Expose coloured quartz by washing and brushing at initial set, or by controlled acid wash when fully set.

Consumption

Estimated consumption: 9.5 kg/m² for a 5.0 mm thickness layer (≈1.9 kg/m² per mm). Values depend on substrate porosity, texture and application method; perform a jobsite test to confirm real consumption.

Packaging

Supplied in 25 kg bags. Available colours: splashed blue, splashed green, splashed brown, pearl grey, granite grey, desert sand, beach ivory, venetian pink and sea blue.

Precautions and safety

Use protective gloves, goggles and suitable clothing. Avoid contact with skin and eyes and avoid inhaling dust during handling and mixing. In case of irritation, rinse with clean water and seek medical advice if symptoms persist.
