MAXEPOX PRIMER
MAXEPOX PRIMER is a two-component solvent-free epoxy primer and sealer designed for substrate preparation and adhesion promotion before epoxy, polyurethane or polyurea systems, delivering strong bonding, porosity sealing and durable protection on concrete floors.
Thanks to its low viscosity and high wetting ability, MAXEPOX PRIMER penetrates capillaries, consolidates the surface and minimizes pinholes in self-levelling coatings. It adheres to concrete, cement mortar, metal and ceramic, offers very good chemical resistance, and is suitable for poorly ventilated areas. It helps extend service life of industrial floors by consolidating weak surfaces.
Applications
- Priming for epoxy flooring systems such as MAXEPOX 3000, MAXEPOX FLOOR, MAXEPOX FLEX and MAXEPOX MORTER.
- Primer for polyurethane membranes and polyurea waterproofing or flooring systems, cold or hot applied.
- Primer for self-levelling cementitious mortars, cement screeds, concrete repairs and new concrete slabs.
- Transparent anti-dust sealer on cement mortars, concrete floors, epoxy screeds or multilayer resin systems in warehouses and industrial facilities.
Advantages
- Low viscosity for deep penetration and improved cohesiveness.
- Excellent adhesion on concrete, mortar, metal and ceramic.
- Seals surface porosity, reducing bubbles and pinholes.
- Very good resistance to diluted bleach, acids, alkalis, brine, wastewater and oils.
- Eco-friendly, non-flammable and solvent-free; ideal for confined areas.
Directions for use
Premix both components; pour component B into A and mix at low speed until homogeneous. Apply MAXEPOX PRIMER by roller or brush as primer or sealer on clean, dry substrates, respecting recommended recoating times.
Consumption
Estimated consumption: 0.25–0.50 kg/m² per coat as primer or sealer, depending on substrate porosity and finish. Verify on-site to confirm total consumption.
Packaging
Supplied in pre-weighed two-component set of 20 kg, available in grey and transparent versions for versatile use across flooring and coating systems.
Precautions and safety
Wear gloves, safety goggles and protective clothing. Avoid skin and eye contact; ensure ventilation. Clean tools with MAXEPOX SOLVENT before curing; when cured, remove mechanically.
