MAXCLEAR CONSOLIDATED
MAXCLEAR CONSOLIDATED is a one-component ready-to-use liquid consolidant based on ethyl silicate compounds, designed for the consolidation and strengthening of natural stone, bricks and mineral substrates.
Once applied, MAXCLEAR CONSOLIDATED penetrates deeply into the capillary network of the substrate and vitrifies, forming a mineral glass-like structure that fills pores and strengthens the treated surface. Thanks to its low molecular weight, this consolidating treatment achieves deep penetration rather than acting as a simple surface hardener. MAXCLEAR CONSOLIDATED improves resistance to weathering, freezing and rainwater while reducing water absorption by capillarity. Transparent and compatible with mineral building materials, it preserves the original aesthetic appearance, making it ideal for restoration of historical buildings, façade renovation and conservation of architectural heritage.
Applications
- Consolidation and restoration of natural stone, stucco and frescoes damaged by weathering.
- Treatment of bricks, ceramic elements and terracotta in heritage or façade renovation works.
- Strengthening of absorbent mineral substrates requiring improved cohesion and durability.
Advantages
- One-component, ready-to-use product with easy brush, roller or spray application.
- Deep penetration due to low molecular weight for effective internal consolidation.
- Transparent finish that does not alter the aesthetic appearance of the substrate.
- Reduces capillary water absorption and increases resistance to weathering.
Mode of application
Apply MAXCLEAR CONSOLIDATED on clean, dry and absorbent substrate by brush, roller or air-less spray in a single coat until full saturation, ensuring surface moisture is below 5%.
Consumption
Approximate consumption ranges from 0.5 to 1.0 l/m² per coat, depending on substrate type, porosity and site conditions. Perform prior in-situ testing.
Packaging
MAXCLEAR CONSOLIDATED is supplied in 5 litre cans and 25 litre drums, ready for direct application without prior mixing.
Health and safety
Use protective gloves, safety goggles and suitable work clothing. Ensure adequate ventilation and keep away from heat or ignition sources during application.
