BISEAL RETARDER -SF
BISEAL RETARDER -SF is a superficial setting retarder monocomponent, liquid and ready to use, specially designed to delay concrete surface setting on formwork in order to obtain high-quality exposed aggregate finishes.
By inhibiting the setting of the superficial cement slurry, BISEAL RETARDER -SF allows controlled removal of the surface paste by washing, leaving the aggregate cleanly exposed. This solution is suitable for both on-site concrete works and precast concrete production, ensuring uniform aesthetic results. BISEAL RETARDER -SF is compatible with metal, plastic and wooden formwork, whether smooth or rough, and can be applied on vertical or horizontal surfaces. Its non-drip thixotropic consistency ensures easy application, reduces waste and improves finish control. Non-corrosive, non-toxic and non-flammable, BISEAL RETARDER -SF contributes to safer handling and cleaner mould surfaces, preventing scale formation and residue build-up while facilitating formwork cleaning and reuse.
Applications
- Production of exposed aggregate concrete in on-site structural and architectural elements.
- Manufacture of precast concrete components with high-quality decorative finishes.
- Use on vertical and horizontal formwork surfaces requiring controlled surface retardation.
Advantages
- Compatible with all types of moulds and formwork materials.
- Uniform exposed aggregate finish with easy surface paste removal.
- Non-drip application with good thixotropy for clean and efficient use.
- Non-corrosive, non-toxic and non-flammable formulation.
- Facilitates cleaning and prolongs the service life of formwork.
Mode of use
Stir the product manually or mechanically at low speed until homogeneous. Apply with roller or brush forming a continuous, uniform film, allow to dry, then pour concrete.
Consumption
Estimated consumption is approximately 0.30 kg/m², depending on formwork texture, porosity, surface condition and application method. On-site testing is recommended.
Packaging
BISEAL RETARDER -SF is supplied in 30 kg and 250 kg drums, suitable for both small-scale applications and large precast or on-site concrete production.
Precautions and safety
Use protective gloves, safety goggles and suitable workwear. Avoid contact with skin and eyes, and wash immediately with clean water if accidental contact occurs.
