Scope 1 includes direct emissions from sources owned or controlled by the organization, such as certain fuel consumption in facilities or company-owned vehicles. Scope 2 covers indirect emissions associated with the electricity consumed for carrying out the activity.<\/p>\n<p>Although the term carbon footprint is commonly used, this indicator is not limited exclusively to carbon dioxide (CO<sub>2<\/sub>).
