THE BIG 5 Show that will be held from 23-27 November, 2008, in the UAE, is the region´s premier construction and building event, being also the definitive place for industry manufacturers, suppliers and professionals to forge strategic business alliances with key decision makers in the Gulf area face-to-face and capitalize on growth potentials grounded in the implementation of the many new development initiatives currently underway. The show points up by the excellent and professional organization as well as for the high qualification level on visitors.
In 2007 edition, the Show counted with more than 2,800 exhibitors from 50 countries and drew more than 50,000 trade and professional visitors. The overwhelming response from THE BIG 5 Show in 2007 has seen majority of past exhibitors unanimously confirming their participation, yet again, in 2008.
With Gulf area´s strong economic growth and pressing demand for infrastructural developments, specially in key commercial projects like “The Palm”, “Burj Dubay Tower”, “The World”, practically finished, apart of new and ambitious developments in all the region, the construction and building sector remains highly robust and will continue to grow.
By 2008, with projects in the region accounting for more than 6,000 million Euros, the construction material industry recorded an annual growth rate of more than 15 %, with a skew towards high quality products. This rapidly growing market niche for building and construction materials is projected to continue at a similar rate during next years.
